{ideas} let it burn..
i saw this tutorial and about fell out of my chair. i'm in need of a lot of candles for our reception..a few large ones to go in the fireplace, and others spread about the tables and outside...i love the idea of having my new last initial pressed into a big ball of hot wax...
do any of you have experience with making your own candles? is it difficult? cheaper? worth it?

I think it would be a fun project to do, but the candles may not be as uniform as you may want them to be. I love the monogrammed candle!
Um, candle making is not easy, and often they do not burn well. They wick has to be formed just so, they can be cloudy, the wax can catch fire. I tried it years ago, and while I am crafty it was a one time thing. I have done tons of projects for the wedding. Don't think I would try candles, plus they are so cheap. All that trouble and you could buy some and personalize them so easy.
